I made this quilt top in a class on Friday night, and I layered it and quilted it last night and today. So now it’s done, and ready for binding.
Should I bind it in the shape you see here? Or should I square it off and bind it as a rectangle?
It’s definitely the oddest thing I’ve ever made. I think it’s interesting, but I’m not entirely sure I *like* it. I’ve enjoyed the experience of making it, though.

I do and don’t like it. Conceptually, I like it. Just not wild about the colors. But then… those aren’t my favorite colors…. *I* avoid the orange/rust zones…. So if you had gone with blues, greens or… PINKS… I prolly would like it more.
But from your description…. Well, it’s better in ‘real life’ than in my head!
i like it the shape it is in now! it fits the design! my mom would want to throw something at ya if she knew you did that all in two days 🙂
She just found another quilt she wants to start.
When is the next scrapbooking get together? i have quite a bit to do! tell jerry i said hi. i haven’t seen him in about 4 years now!!! can you believe that!!?
I vote to keep it the shape it’s in now. It’s too funky to put in a rectangle. I think because you have some wavy pieces in the quilt, it would compliment to have the edges curved.
i say bind it as is….but it makes me blink (a lot)
I think this will look fabulous hanging in the attic.
Leave it like it is. It looks like a tree to me and I have never seen a tree with perfectly straight edges.
You’ve already gotten my opinion, so I won’t share it here.
But when you finish the moat blanket, let me know. 🙂
Yeah, I got your opinion. But I still don’t know what it means. Intentionally vague, and all that. 🙂 No worries, though. It’s a weird quilt.
I still don’t get the “moat” thing, but whatever. 🙂 Princess.
I knew I liked you, Sarah.
