This one was from a class at Quilt University last January. The class was “Shattered Angles” and it was taught by Susan Purney-Mark. I made it [almost] entirely from scraps in my stash. I think I had to buy two fat quarters of black and white fabrics for the “sticks” near the end as I was running out of the ones I had and needed more variety.
I did have to buy batting and backing, but I don’t really count that either.
Here’s a closeup showing the surface texture:
And a closeup of the quilting, which was done using Superior Threads King Tut, which is probably my favorite variegated quilting thread.
(Click on the quilting closeup photo to see it even MORE closeup. I *know*. Crazy talk!!!)
Stay tuned…. More projects coming soon. 🙂
