Paducah or BUST!

I’m going to Paducah next Saturday.

Next Saturday morning, I have to be in Madison, about 30 minutes from here, by 5am. We will get to Paducah around 9:30am, and then return to Madison around midnight.

Ai yi yi.

It’s like going to Mecca.

I’m veddy veddy excited. (But as I said to Jerry… It’s like sending an addict into an opium den….)

And best of all? My TRAVEL BUDDY — TRACI! We are going to have SO. MUCH. FUN. During the quilt guild meeting tonight, Claire W. and Ann C. were giving me restaurant recommendations. Since I’m a newbie, you’ll have to take me under your wing and show me around. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Don’t You Push Me Down

This is on one of the girls’ CDs…. It’s a Woody Guthrie song, and I just love it.

Here are the lyrics:

Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.
Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.

You can play with me,
You can take my hand,
We can skip together
Down to the pretzel stand.
You can wear my mommy’s shoes,
You can wear my daddy’s hat,
You can even get mad at me,
But don’t you push me down.

Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.
Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.

You can play with me,
We can build a house,
You can take my ball,
And bounce it up and down.
You can take my skates,
And ride them all around,
You can even get mad at me,
But don’t you push me down.

Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.
Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.

You can play with me,
We can play all day,
You can use may use my dishes,
If you put them away.
You can feed me apples,
Oranges and Plum,.
You can even wash my face,
But don’t you push me down.

Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.
Don’t you push me, push me, push me,
Don’t you push me down.
