Quilt Math

Quilt Math has been my entertainment for the evening.

Number crunching, double checking, adding, number crunching… And then realizing that this approach is far too wasteful for anyone to make the quilt over a baby quilt size.

So I will be creating cutting templates in Illustrator again, so that fabric use is more efficient. At least I’m better at it now that I have a clue with that software.

Still tedious, though.

But this is what I was playing with today…  It’s the Counterclockwise pattern, and I’m finally getting it written. The QuiltCon acceptance was the kick in the pants that I needed.

Coming soon!

  1. Thank you for taking the time to do this and then sharing with us. Every time I try to do some quilting math I get different results each time. lol

  2. I applaud you for the beautiful pattern. My most challenging is the log cabin pattern. Wish I could add a picture, I’d share my quilt.
