Anjali apparently has noticed my pitifulness of late (since I’ve been beating you all over the head with it, I’m sorry), and sent out the Chi Omega Alarm (Hoot! Hoot! ? Maybe? Or curls of red and yellow ^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H cardinal and straw smoke? Whatever the method, the message carried). 🙂 I’ve gotten emails and e-cards already. I love you girls, and I am reminded why I pledged a sorority in the first place, after thinking that I was anti-Greek before my mom insisted that I rush.
I had never felt comfortable being friends with women until I met my ChiO sisters. Never. And I now understand why it is so important to have women friends. I love you, ladies. Thanks for reading. 🙂
And thank you, Anjali, for sending them here. You’re the bestest.

.. I had no clue.
I rushed CHI OMEGA, but our chapter (UAH) folded.
Heh. 🙂
What always amazes me is how different the chapters are from one to the next… I mean, at Duke, I always thought we were the down-to-earth, not really vain girls who knew how to have fun but also knew when to rein it in and study. And a mere 12 miles away, at UNC-Chapel Hill, the ChiOs were VERRRRRRRRRY wealthy and not very nice to us (though they did let us use their basement for our pledge retreat).
Anyway. I’m always very careful when I meet another ChiO from another chapter — we do have some history in common, sure, but chapters are sooooo different. Her experience may be vastly different from mine. Always interesting.
AMEN! When I was at Montevallo, the Chi O’s were actually the girlier of the sororities. I only rushed them because I loved the girls at UAH.. very cool, very real, VERY smart.
Kevin dated my big sister. 🙂
I had to send them each a check for $100 to write you. At least I talked them down from $150.
But seriously, those women are the best, are they not? And the only reason we all remain such a support to each other is because of the Round Robin letter that YOU started. I’ve no idea how I would have faired in life without it!!!
I don’t care what it cost, it made my day. Made me cry, but you know me well enough to know that’s a GOOD thing, because I’m one of those freaks that actually likes to cry on occasion. When it’s because I feel loved.
Where IS the RR letter, anyway? I haven’t seen it since before I had Alice. Granted, we’ve all seen each other relatively recently (I still can’t believe that ALL EIGHT of us went to the reunion — that’s Chi-O-mazing!), but I want that letter!!!
In the Bonds (*snort*),
E.
.. okay, I was all down with the sisterhood until you actually typed out Chi-O-Mazing. Now, I’m regretting accepting the pin. 🙂
Yes, but Sarah…. Are you IN THE BONDS?!
